Thanks for all the good advice, everyone! We leave tomorrow, with Visiting Lissie for my sister(SSHHH, she's a secret!) and Shan Li, Rescued Kirsten, and Sarabeth along to welcome Molly and Lissie to Virginia! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

To love her and appreciate her. She should read her books or have her mom read them to her at bed time.
And I agree with the others, teach her to be gentle with Molly and how to brush her hair so it stays nice and soft.
That must be so exciting for her! Molly was my first doll also, I had wished for her for ever and finally one Xmas there she was!

Here is what I would tell her:

1) Her hair is very fragile. If you take it out of the braids, don't leave it out really long - be sure to put it in a pony tail or braids again when you are done. Always mist her hair with water before you brush. Always use a wire wig brush. Maybe consider taking her a bottle of spray wig conditioner. My sisters use one of these every few times you brush their hair.

2)Don't throw her, hit things with her, or pull on her limbs. Don't cut her hair or let scissors near her, don't draw on her with crayons or pens, and don't paint her with nail polish.

3)Always cover the velcro when you change her clothes.

4)Store her things in an organized fashion so that you don't lose anything.
